The premier league is known as the league where anything can happen. The level of upset in the league is unmatched by any other league among Europe elite leagues. Manchester United seems to be the first casualty of a very strong league this season.
The Old Trafford side travel to Brighton and Hooves Albion in the second week of the premier league campaign and recorded their first defeat of the season. Brighton defeating Manchester United was one of the greatest upset of the weekend as many did not give the club the chance to do so, not even the bookmakers.
With the game starting and Brighton scoring the first goal as early as the 25th minute had an effect on what the outcome will be. United quickly went behind 2-0 after Sean Duffy doubled the host lead in the 27th minute. Two goals in two minutes.

This had an impact on the game and United were expected to have done better than that. The defense line was very shaky with the pairing of Victor Linderlof and Eric Bailey. These two used to be United best partnering but it seems Jose doesn’t know his back line again.
This was evident in the way Bailey conceded a penalty in the last few minutes of the first half after Lukaku had reduced the deficit to 2-1. Gross didn’t make a mistake of missing from the spot. A last minute penalty was for Pogba was only able to make the score line decent at 3-2 in favour of the host. United will be hoping on converting their chances more in subsequent games despite having 67 percent of the ball.
