Wenger officially announce his Arsenal retirement

I think if you’d tracked Arsenal fans happiness over the course of the last 22 years on a line graph I’d wager that it started pretty low and rose fairly gradually over the Afirst couple of years, with it reaching massive heights in the early 2000’s. I’d also wager that from that point, minus a few blips, it’s been a pretty downward trajectory.

This is the story of Arsenal’s manager of the last 22 years, Arsene Wenger. Going against what many thought with their Paddy Power football bets, Arsene has called time on his career with the Gunners and will no longer be their leader, being replaced by Unai Emery.

Whilst I mentioned that there has been a bit of ill feeling between the fans of the club and the manager it doesn’t mean Wenger hadn’t done some amazing things whilst the manager of Arsenal and it’s for this reason we created a timeline of his history at the club.
